マラケッシュのリノベーションされたリアドです。朝食付き。早朝早く出かけるときは、朝ごはんを早められない代わりにお弁当を前の夜に頼めます。 中心街に位置しているので、観光もしやすく、リラックスしながら滞在できます。特に、屋上で過ごすのをおすすめ。部屋のインテリアも可愛い！！ アーティストレジデンスも受け入れていて、リアド内はもちろん、部屋にも作品も飾られています。 事前に予約すると、空港から＄２０ほどでお迎えに来てくれるので、空港から乗る現地のタクシーが心配な方はとても安心です。（現金が必要）特にリアドを見つけるのは、とても難しくグーグルマップも正確ではないことがほとんどです。

A renovated riad of Marrakech. Breakfast included. If you have to leave early in the morning, you can request a to-go bag the night before. As it is located in the center of the city, it is easy to go sightseeing. I especially recommend spending time on the rooftop. The interior of the room is also cute!!! There is an artist residence here, and the works are displayed not only in the riad but also in the room. It’s also close to the Eve Saint Laurent Museum, so there are many of his books. If you book in advance, you will be picked up from the airport for about $20, so if you are worried about grabbing a local taxi from the airport, it is very safe. (Cash required) Finding riads in particular is often very difficult and Google maps are often inaccurate.

モンドリアンルックや女性のタキシードスーツを生み出したフランスのデザイナー、イヴ・サン＝ローラン。この庭園付きの家は、植物収集家でもあったフランス人画家、ジャック・マジョレル氏からイヴ・サン＝ローランが買い取り、彼の別荘になっていました。今は、美術館となっています。 マラケシュレッドと呼ばれるコーラルピンクの壁のエントランスを通り、彼が今まで手がけた作品やスケッチを見ることができます。中心街から少し離れているので、静かな空間を楽しむことができます。 フナ広場からタクシーで１０分、徒歩３０〜４０分ほどで行けます。歩いて行っても危なくないのですが、車が通る大通りを渡るのが怖い方は、タクシーがいいかもしれません。（フナ広場や美術館前は、観光客しかいないのでタクシーも値段交渉しないと行けないので大変。）

Yves Saint-Laurent, a French designer who created the Mondrian look and the tuxedo suit for women. This estate was bought by Yves Saint-Laurent from Jack Majorelle, a French painter who was also a plant collector, and became his villa. It is now a museum. You can see his works and sketches through the entrance of the coral pink wall called Marrakech Red. It’s a little far from the city center, in a much quieter neighborhood. 10 minutes by taxi from Huna Square, 30-40 minutes on foot. It’s not dangerous to walk, but if you’re afraid of crossing the main street, a taxi may be a good option. (Because there are only tourists in front of the Huna Square and the museum, taxis tend to overcharge.)

メディナにある新しいモロッカン料理屋さん。グーグルマップを見ていても迷ってしまいました。ある程度近くに行くと看板があるので、それを見て行くのがいいかもしれません◎ 屋台ではないので、どれも安心して注文できました。鉄板のラムのタジンと鶏肉のタジンは、とても美味しく、ハーブティーにもバリエーションがあったのでここではローズのハーブティーを注文しました。 店内のインテリアも可愛いので、スークやメディーナで買い物する前にインスパイアをもらえるかもしれません。

Modern Moroccan café in Medina. Hard to find without Google Maps. There are signboards posted around but it is still very maze-like to navigate. It has a relaxed restaurant atmosphere. The lamb tagine and chicken tagine were very delicious, and there were variations in herbal tea, so I ordered rose herbal tea here. The interior of the store is also cute, so you may get some inspiration before you shop at the Souk or Medina.

If you’re tired of the souk’s maze, take a break in the garden just outside the Medina. Traditional patterns and green tiles are beautifully arranged in harmony with the garden’s cacti and trees.

マラケシュの旧市街にあるモスクです。1147年に建てられました。モスクにはイスラム教徒以外入ることが、できません。料理教室の待ち合わせ場所のすぐ側なので外からでも散歩がてらみに行ってみましょう！

This is a beautiful mosque in the old town of Marrakech, built in 1147. Only Muslims can enter it. It’s right next to the meeting place of the cooking class, and has a picturesque minaret.

３時ごろにシェフと市内で待ち合わせをしてマーケットで買い物をしてから、タジンやクスクスの作り方を一から教えてくれます。野外に設置されたキッチンで作る料理教室体験は、最高の思い出になります。 ホブス（モロッコのパン）にガーデンで取ったローズマリーを入れてかまどで焼いたり、ガーデンでモロッカンハーブティーの入れ方を教えてもらいました。シェフでホストのKamalもとてもフレンドリーで、料理だけでなくモロッコの文化のことを教えてくれます。

We met up with the Chef in the center of the old city around 3:00pm, bought our ingredients at the market, and learned how to make cous-cous and lamb and chicken tagine from scratch. The cooking class was held in a beautiful outdoor kitchen of a nearby farm and made a great memory. I picked rosemary from the garden and mixed it into dough to help bake “khobz” or moroccan bread in a bamboo oven. They also taught us how to make Moroccan mint tea from herbs in the garden. The chef and host Kamal was very friendly and taught us a lot about cooking and Moroccan culture.

最高のハマムスパ。予約が必要です◎ ハマムとは、スチームサウナとアカスリです。２時間コースをお願いすると、アカスリの後にフェイスかフットのマッサージが選べます。 極力モロッコ市内では、服装を気をつけなければいけないのですがリアドの隣にあるスパなのでサンダルとラフな服装で行けるのもおすすめできる理由の一つです。

This is a type of spa called a Hammam. Reservation required. Hammam is a steam sauna where they scrub you down, serve you tea, and give you a massage. If you ask for a two-hour course, you can choose a facial or foot massage.

非営利団体のカフェです。名前の通り、ヘナタトゥーも頼めばやってくれます。スタッフのほとんどが女性なのも、この団体が女性が仕事を持てるようにとサポートしているからです。 ご飯もミントティーも美味しい上にスタッフの方もすごくフレンドリーです。 店内に亀が自由に歩いているので、踏みつけないように気をつけて！

This is a non-profit cafe. As the name suggests, you can also ask for a henna tattoo. Most of the staff are women and the organization helps women get jobs. The rice and mint tea are delicious, and the staff is also very frendly. There are tortises that freely wander the store, so be careful not to step on them!

マラケシュ旧市街スークとメディナ。メディナとは、蜘蛛の巣のように入り組んでいる道（お店やご飯屋さんがぎっしりと並んでいます。）そこを抜けると広場（スーク）にたどり着くので一つにまとめました。 マラケッシュのメディナは、世界最大の規模とも言われている市場です。どのお店も値段交渉が必要なので、大変です。ランプや靴、沢山の工芸品が並んでいます。 ジャマエル・フナ広場は、マラケシュ旧市街の中心部に位置する大きな広場です。昔、処刑場だったことから、アラビア語で「死人の集う場所」という意味だそうです。

Marrakech’s old town Souk and Medina. The Medina is a network of alleys that is intricate like a cobweb (shops and restaurants are lined up closely.) When you pass through it, you will reach the plaza (Souk), so we put it together. Marrakech medinas are also said to be the largest in the world. It’s tough because every store needs price negotiation. There are lamps, shoes, and many crafts. Jamaa el Fna Square is a large square located in the center of the old town of Marrakesh. Since it was an execution site in the olden days, it means “the place where dead people gather” in Arabic.

注意：お昼でもスリや客引きが恐ろしいモロッコ。ひと時も油断できません！夜は、人が変わり色々な人が話しかけてきますが耳を傾けたり呼ばれて立ち止まったりしないように。どこまでもついてきてしまいます。 道が本当に複雑で、どの道も似ているので迷ってしまいますが…携帯で地図を見ているだけで人が集まってきてしまいます。なるべく早く歩いて、人通りが少ない道には入らないように気をつけましょう。

Note: Pickpocketing, scams, and aggressive bargaining is very common in Morocco. You can’t let your guard down for even for a moment! At night, people will be especially pushy. They will follow you wherever you go. The roads are really complicated and all the roads are similar, so it’s easy to get lost. The moment you look down at your phone’s GPS they will swarm you looking for money. Walk as fast as possible and be careful not to enter a road with little traffic.

リアドの近くにあるモロッコ料理のお店。少しフュージョンなので、少しモロッコ料理に飽きて来ていても楽しめます。洋梨のデザートが絶品がでした。 モロッコのレストランのほとんどがアルコールを売っていませんが、ここのレストランにはモロッコのカサブランカで作っているビールを試すことができました。 店内も落ち着いた空間で席と席が離れているのでゆっくりできます。

Moroccan restaurant near Riad. It’s a little fusion, so you can enjoy it even if you’re a little tired of Moroccan cuisine. The pear dessert was excellent. Most restaurants in Morocco do not sell alcohol, but they serve Morocco’s Casablanca beer here. You can relax as the seats are separated from each other in a calm space.
