訪れるまで、ガウディの師である建築家リュイス・ドメネク・イ・ムンタネーについて全く知りませんでした。彼は、「芸術は人を癒す」と数々の素晴らしい建築物を世に送り出し、花模様を巧みに表現したことから「花の建築家」と呼ばれました。
街の中心街にあるLOEWEの建物は、彼のモデルニスモ建築が使われています。壁のタイルには花の模様が描かれているのも素敵です。この街で買い物や食事を楽しみながらも、歴史ある建物を知らない間に体験しているかもしれません。
注意すべきは、食事の時間です。お昼すぎから７時ぐらいまで、どこものレストランも開いていないの気をつけてください。街の探索に夢中になって食べ忘れてしまうと夜まで食べれなくなってしまうので、要注意です！

曲線で波を打っているデザインや色鮮やかなステンドグラスが全ての窓に使われていたり、大胆な形状と色の使いに魅了されます。
I visited Barcelona to see the late 19/early 20th century architecture of Antonio Gaudi. His curved, wavy designs, bold shapes, and colorful stained glass fascinate me. Before visiting, I knew nothing about Gaudi’s mentor, architect Luis Domenek i Muntane. He designed many wonderful buildings around the world, saying “art heals people.” He was known as the “flower architect” for his skillful expression of flower patterns. The LOEWE building in the city center uses his Modernisme architecture. I truly love its floral tile patterns. While you are shopping and dining in this city, you are surrounded by amazing historical buildings.
When traveling in Spain, tne thing to note is meal time. No restaurants are open from afternoon until about 7 o’clock. If you are absorbed in exploring the city and forget to eat, you will not be able to eat until night, so be careful!

未完の世界遺産のサクラダファミリア。訪れる際には事前にチケット予約を忘れずに！なぜなら、予約先行の言語ごとのオーディオガイドも必須だからです。建築家アントニ・ガウディのキリストの死から復活までの物語を描いた「受難の門」。
また物語に続く「生誕の門」は、日本人彫刻家によって手がけられました。
天気によって、中から眺めるステンドグラスの輝きが変わるので何度行っても楽しめます。

Perhaps Barcelona’s most famous landmark and an unfinished World Heritage site. Don’t forget to book your ticket online before visiting! They also provide a self-guided audio tour which has a lot of production quality. The cathedral has two sides, the “Nativity facade” which depicts the miracle of creation and the birth of Christ, and the “Passion facade” which crucifixion of Christ. Depending on the weather, the color of the stained glass seen from the inside changes, so you can enjoy it no matter how many times you go.

コミュニィーセンターに設置されているジェームズ・タレルのインスタレーション。とても小さいですが、こんなところに！と見つけに行くのが楽しいので、是非に見行ってください。

海鮮タパスとお酒が◎テラス席でワインやビールを楽しみながら、カウンターでおつまみを頼んでみましょう！小皿で運ばれるオリーブやオイルサーディンは、とても美味しいです。

バルセロナにいる間にチュロスをたくさん食べましたが、ここが一番のオススメ◎甘党でない方も、チョコレートも絶対にオーダーしてください！お店には、チュロスとチョコレートの二択だけですが、隣でコーヒーも買えます。
I ate a lot of churros while in Barcelona, but these were my favorite. Pairs nicely with ordered chocolate!

“Casa Mila” is an iconic building designed by architect Antonio Gaudi. Inside, it is still being used as apartments but tours are available. I wish I could live here!
「スイーツアベニューホテル伊藤豊雄氏によって建設された、ホテルです。グラシア通りにあるので、買い物を楽しみながら見に行くことができます。
